The Monarch Catalog allows users the ability to search and request items from any of the libraries belonging to the Monarch Library System.

BadgerLink is an online index to quality articles, videos, images and more made freely available to Wisconsin residents. Many of the articles are available in full text. It is a project of the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI), Division for Libraries, Technology, and Community Learning.

Listed as School and Library Journals 10 Best Digital Resources of 2009, Britannica Online School Edition offers access to age-appropriate reference articles, journals, magazines and more. Designed for all levels of learning, Britannica Online School Edition K-12 offers students a gateway to the vast resources of Encyclopaedia Britannica.

BadgerLink now offers a direct link to the Consumer Report content offered through EBSCO.  Consumer Reports is a great resource for reviews and comparisons of consumer products and services based on reporting and results from its in-house testing laboratory. It also publishes cleaning and general buying guides.

HeritageQuest Online offers genealogical information including a census search (complete set of Federal census images from 1790-1930, include name indexes for many years), books (20,000 family and local histories), the PERSI index (over 1.6 million genealogy and local history articles), and much more.

Learning Express Library offers interactive online practice tests and tutorials for many exams, including: ACT, ASVAB, GED, GRE, Law Enforcement, LSAT, Postal workers, SAT, US Citizenship. You get immediate scoring, answer explanation, and analysis of your results.

Libby, the new app from OverDrive offers eBooks, audiobook titles, music and video that can be downloaded to a computer, a portable device or burned to a CD. A valid Monarch Library System library card  is necessary for checkout and placing holds.

NoveList is a database for readers who are looking for book suggestions and discussion ideas. It includes fiction books all the way from children’s picture books to young adult novels and genre literature for adults.

There is also a version of NoveList just for children’s literature called NoveList K-8. NoveList K-8 is set up to be a kid-friendly format that makes it easier to find children’s book suggestions by age (ages 0-teen) as well as author, subject, and series. NoveList K-8 also lists award-winning children’s books by type of award.

TeachingBooks provides original, in-studio movies of authors and illustrators, and a wealth of multimedia resources on K–12 books to support reading and library activities for all grades and content areas.
TeachingBooks also provides resources correlated with Wisconsin Reading Lists including 2011-2012 Read On Wisconsin Book Club and Battle of the Books.

The Wiscat database is produced annually by the Wisconsin Division for Library Services and contains material in all formats, including books, serial titles, videorecordings, sound recordings and other kinds of materials located in approximately 1,000 public, academic, school and special libraries in the State of Wisconsin.

If you discover an item in Wiscat that is not owned in the Monarch Library System Catalog and you would like to request it, please complete an Interlibrary Loan request form.

WorldCat is a worldwide catalog of library collections that includes more than 67 million bibliographic records with items in many different formats. Patrons can access this database at any library or at home with a user-friendly search page.
